Eternity

Kromasil Eternity™
A new stationery phase designed for long life and great method development freedom !

Benefits

  • New  material construction resulting in very long column life and better economy
  • Smaller, 2.5 um  particle diameter resulting in high efficiency and faster analyses.
  • Better surface chemistry enabling to work with the pH spectrum of 1 to 12 making method development easy
  • High temperature resistance (80°C). Temperature and pH can now be used as additional process parameter to expand freedom in reverse phase chromatography

How are this benefits achieved?

The Kromasil chromatography bead production is an inversion emulsion process resulting particles with a a wide range of diameters but the same porous structure, pore size and surface area. This uniformity guarantees excellent scale up condition from analytical to prep and production scale chromatography

To the raw silica bead beads is a  organo-silane surface attached with a proprietary process and

fused  with the underlaying inorganic mechanically very stabile silica bead as a gradient leading to the Eternity platform. The beads have a large surface area of 330 sqm/g and a pore size of 100 Angstrom

To the silanol groups a C18 ligand is being attach and a proprietary endcapping applied. The resultant bead have a carbon loading of only 14% and are stable in a pH range varying from 1 to 12

The uniform  Eternity beads are than divide into a wide range of diameters. The 2.5 um and 5 um diameter beads are packed at 1000 bars into UHPLC analytical columns respectively into prep columns
