Akzo Nobels Eka Chemicals Division manufactures since many years four types of outstanding Kromasil stationery phases as follows:

1. 1. Kromasil® Classics for revers phase HPLC.
2. 2. Kromasil® Eternity™  the everlasting high performance HPLC and UHPLC reverse phase.
3. 3. Kromasil® AmyCoat™ and CelluCoat™, broad spectrum polysaccaride chiral HPLC separation material. 
4. 4. Kromasil® DMB™ and TBB™ brush type chiral stationery phases.

Kromasil materials are highly recommended, robust pure silica materials of very high mechanical and chemical stability. They are used extensively in the pharmaceutical industry.

Kromasil (Standard) is manufactured using the well known sol-gel technique under ISO 9001 : 2000 quality standard condition in 100 Kg batch lots and many tonnes per year for analytical and preparative applications. There are three pore sizes (60 A, 100 A and 300A).

The particles are selected by sieving. This approach guarantees a perfect batch to batch reproducibility and same surface properties form small to large diameter particles.

Kromasil is market leader in preparative purification using HPLC, SFC and SMB. We are also focusing on development and sales of analytical products for HPLC. We are in the process of implementing our new analytical strategy.

In order to ensure that you only will be provided with high quality Kromasil original columns all sales of analytical packing material were stopped on January 1, 2008. 

Globally we strengthen our distribution network and increase the level of competence. From January 1, 2008 Kromasil original columns will only be available through our network of appointed distributors in close relationship with Kromasil /AkzoNobel or from us directly.

We are happy to inform that LCC Engineering & Trading GmbH through its web site “chromatographyshop.com”

will be our approved distributor in Switzerland. LCC with the back up from the Kromasil group in Sweden will be able to offer qualified technical competence in the HPLC-area as well as excellent commercial service.
