Low Pressure and Medium Pressure Chromatography Systems

Low Pressure  Liquid Chromatography Processes

Low Pressure Chromatography (LPLC, Flash) : Back-up pressure = 0.1 to 5 bar
Medium Pressure Chromatography (MPLC)  : Back-up pressures = 5 to 50 bar

Media: Large spherical or broken Silica particles, polymer beads and gels with wide range of surface chemistries

Column technology: Media is available as packed  disposable cartridges or glass and plastic columns of a wide range of diameters and length

Applications:

  1. Extraction (Solid Phase Extraction)
  2. Immuno Extraction
  3. Fractionation (e.g. Natural extracts)
  4. Purification of compounds (Laboratory scale, prep scale or production scale)
  5. Adsorption
  6. Scavenging
  7. Biocatalysis
  8. Heterogeneous Catalysis
  9. Solid Phase Organic Synthesis
  10. Resin Transfer Reactions
  11. Protein Purification
    • Dye Ligand Affinity Chromatography
    • Immobilised Metal Ion Affinity Chromatography
